Hello everyone-took AUD on Friday, April 7th. The feeling coming out of it was similar to BEC which I passed, which was somewhere in between “WTF” and “that wasn’t bad”… I took probably no more than 30 min. for MCQs which were considerably more puzzling in the second testlet and seemed to hit my every weakness-if I fail, I know why. The SIMS were a mixture of doable and WTF. My advice on those, is do every single one in Ninja, and do some of the ones you score low on twice. I did probably 40 of them the night before my exam, and I think it helped!

What review course did you use. Do you think it prepared you well. How was DRS, were the sims lengthy. I am using wiley test bank and wiley review. Any tips for preparation will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hope and determination will lead to success.

@cpa007-I primarily used Becker but used Ninja MCQ as well which also gives you 85 SIMS, and i feel that on top of the ones I did in Becker they gave me a good basis for the ones on the test. I did not get a DRS on my exam (so grateful!) but the sims varied in length and complexity. There was one straight for the sample AICPA test and I am totally kicking myself for not having looked up the answer when I went through a sample test-so don't discard those as study material either!

Thank you for sharing. I have been looking out for this since Friday. Sounds like a pass to me.

My exam is on Wednesday and I am seriously praying I do not get a DRS!

Do you have any last minute advice for me 🙂 ?

    Good luck

@QueenCPA-I reviewed opinions of all kinds for the DRS eventuality and I would review the SSARS engagements as well as other and supplementary information as it relates to audit opinions. are you using NInja? If so I was do as many SIMS as you can. I did a ton on Thursday night and by the end of the night it felt pretty crappy, but I think it actually helped during the actual SIMS! Also, I felt so overwhelmed on Thursday and Friday, felt like I didn't know so much, so I told myself-focus on what you know, it kind of helped allay my anxiety:) LOL-good luck on Wednesday-you will do great!

I took AUD yesterday, April 24th. The feeling coming out of it was similar to yours a mix of “WTF and that wasn’t bad”. For the MCQs, the first testlet was doable, I flagged about 5 questions out of the 35. For the second testlet, the questions were more complex and some I had to read more than once word by word. Overall, I felt good with the MCQ's. Now the SIMS… Oh the SIMS… just like yours “were a mixture of doable and WTF”. Some of them I was able to answer by looking at some terminology in the literature and mixing it with what I had studied. But some of them, were so hard. Overall, I have no idea how I did!!

@cpaShoes08-I have no clue either! Let's hope we both did well enough to pass! Just ordered my REG book and plan on taking it in July! 🙂 I found that studying keeps me away from wondering how I did on the previous section! 🙂

I hope we both pass as well 🙂 This is my last one and if I do not pass, I will lose my FAR credit which is horrible. The document review SIM was so bad… I feel like I completely guessed on that one. There were so many choices for one question they were so close to one another that it was hard to decide which one was the best answer. We will know by August how we did 🙂

I took AUD yesterday (4/24/17) and it is more of the same. My score could come a 100 or a 50 and it wouldn't surprise me one way or the other.

AUD multiple choice are the biggest eye roll and I felt myself often coming down between a choice of two.

My SIMS felt eerily simple. If I fail, I will be a little embarrassed, because I feel like they were handed to me on a silver platter. I was a little shaky on 2 because I started second guessing myself on teensy details, but otherwise they were very straightforward. I'm sleeping with one eye open on those SIMS.

I finished the exam waaayyyy early. A little over an hour early which leads me to why the new exam is so devastating (drama! haha). For the first time ever I had all this extra time and only 3 straight forward SIMS (one of which was research) that I could review. I perused through the authoritative literature to try and find some support to make sure the other two SIMS were correct. It didn't bring any kind of particular comfort due to the nature of my SIMS. I miss having all the SIMS to choose from at once. HOWEVER, man is that 15 minute break nice before tackling the SIMS. I really feel like it made a big difference.

Let's all hope that we hit 75! AUD has by far been the most dull material for me.

    AUD - 83
    BEC - 75
    FAR - 78
    REG - 75
    AUD - 74 painful - Q3 Score Release 84!!!!!!

    FAR - 73 also painful - Q3 Score Release 78!!!!!!

    REG- 75 whew

    BEC - 75 whew

I have AUD this Thursday and I am currently having the worst panic attack. I failed already in October, which totally beat my confidence down to a pulp, so I decided to not even open a book during busy season. I have studied for about 4 weeks now, doing every single mcq in Becker. And the past two days I have been hammering SIMS and took a practice exam and got a 68% (I am praying the ol' 10 point Becker curve holds true for me again). Tomorrow I will finish up on the SIMS and do a few more mcq tests and then go to bed early. Praying we all get that magical 75 in August 🙂

    Good luck @reallytired!

@kcgraggs-I finished my exam in exactly two hours but honestly that's how long my practice tests in Becker took as well. I am also a fast test taker-once that clock starts ticking I just want to be done!

    Hey everyone,

New to ninja, I took Audit 5 times and the scores were as followed…66,73,74,74,73. My becker subscription expired and I decided to try out Ninja. I'm taking the test again at the end of May. Any huge differences from the old exams? Also, I purchased ninja notes and MCQ's. Do guys think that is a good substitute to study which about a month before the test?

Any input really helps. Failing 5 times really brings down the confidence. Thanks
