I studied Audit for ~ 4 weeks ( Becker , Becker final review) Overall the exam was very fair, maybe few MCQ didn't make any sense…. Sims were very straight forward and were not too long Kinda weird….
I spent the whole 4 hours on the exam, I re read my answers and I am glad I did. I still don't know what to feel, even though I feel I did good but I can't rely on that. If you're taking AUD make sure you truly understand every word in the textbook re read until you get very very familiar. know the difference between all engagements ( Objective, Considerations, auditor responsibility, management responsibility, procedure, report)
Starting REG now ! !November 19, 2018 at 4:18 pm #2064809
Having taken FAR, how would you compare the two experiences?
I took AUD this weekend, and I do not know what to think of it. It was not exactly hard, but still gave me an uneasy feeling.
After I walked out FAR, I was fairly sure that I passed.
How about you?November 19, 2018 at 6:28 pm #2064953
@globetrotter I feel the opposite.. After I left FAR I was sure I didn't pass, the sims were extremely hard and had too many DRS I was already losing my concentration by testlet 4, I am still waiting for score release tho.
For AUD I went through all the sims and they were really reasonable NOT HARD. I left the exam feeling ok NOT great but Def AUD exam is waaaaaaay much lighter than FAR.November 20, 2018 at 11:36 pm #2066405
@Oe99. Do you think Becker helped you prepare better for AUD than FAR? hope that you passed and Reg studying is coming along smooth.November 21, 2018 at 6:42 pm #2067296
@raulb Becker did excellent job! for FAR, Specially Becker final review textbook/software , it was my savior in the last 10 days before FAR exam, I highly recommend it to anyone ( Who already went through the textbook and did all the homework) I can say the same for AUD since all the question type/concept in the AUD exam I've seen before so far. Becker covered all the concepts. I hope I passed any of them, still waiting for next score release.November 21, 2018 at 6:51 pm #2067176
Took AUD in Q3 and Q4 2018. I've passed REG and FAR and studying BEC now.
I did Gleim & Roger for AUD. I studied haarrrrdddd. I was CRUSHING MCQ and doing all the TBS I could. I felt VERY strong going in for Q3. Got my 3rd 74 (one for REG, one for FAR, and now one for AUD). When I saw the score I was crushed. Not b/c I didn't pass but b/c it was just so easy. I KNEW all the answers. I didn't need to guess. I didn't struggle at all. I felt great. Also, since we know I took FAR x 2, REG x 2, and AUD x 2, I am no rookie to the exam format. I was the most prepared and thought it was simple and I didn't pass. What's even crazier??? On every other exam I did “stronger” than other candidates on the MCQ portions. This time I did weaker! Not even comparable. I still can't believe the score but we all know what happens when you ask for a re-grade.
Anyway, if you don't pass then have fun taking it again. lol. Also, Gleim is superior as far as test bank and content. Roger gives you enough to get a 76-80, which is passing, but he skips stuff not likely to be on the exam and then when it's actually on the exam it sucks. Especially when you're pulling 72-79 range – you need all the points you can grab.November 23, 2018 at 2:31 pm #2068715
I didn't feel nervous for FAR nor REG before taking them, however, I feel so nervous already for AUD (maybe because I failed it once in Q1?). I was scheduled to take it this upcoming week, but ended up changing the date to 1st week of Dec. instead. Also, just took the AICPA sample, which is pretty much same as Q1, does AICPA change these annually?November 24, 2018 at 1:37 am #2069105
