Hello fellow future CPAs!

I am currently studying for AUD and will be taking the exam a month from now. I am currently on A3 and noticing that the homework MCQs are fairly easy. I am expecting the topics and the related questions to get harder as I go through the rest of the materials. My question is, how well did Becker prepare you for the AUD exam? I am worried that the difficulty of Becker questions are nowhere near the difficulty of the real exam since I think the MCQs I’ve done so far are pretty easy. Also, do you think it is beneficial to buy ninja mcqs to help better prepare for AUD? Will it help significantly? Any additional tips for the AUD section? I appreciate any tips and help!

I'm also using Becker for Audit. I find the questions to be fairly easy and repetitive. I only had trouble with the transaction cycle section. I've made it a habit to understand not only why the questions are right, but why each answer is wrong.

I took the AUD exam twice, (May 68, July 70) and I felt Becker did a great job with the MCQ/prep materials (book is a little voluminous) but.. my problem was that I DIDNT DO ENOUGH MCQ (in addition to studying up until I went to bed the night b4 the exam #burntMyselfOut) –big mistake!!! that 70 will haunt me. Exposure to all different types of questions is key and know WHY answers are what they are. — I'm definitely buying NINJA MCQ to supplement for my 3rd go at it… focusing on REG now -__-

Skibum1990, are you saying that you were not able to do all of Becker's MCQs or that Becker's MCQs were not enough to practice? I definitely feel a bit relieved knowing that Becker does a good job at AUD. Thanks!

They are easy because you haven't gotten to A4 yet. Evidence is where I totally lost it. Everything else with practice got easier, except A4. I am taking Audit on Sept 2nd and will see how it goes. I would recommend not overlooking Ethics (The first part of A6). That is supposedly about 18% of the exam. Those can be easy points.

Well said Pete. A4 is the game changer. A4 and A5 are tough for me. Especially all the cycles from revenue,expense,etc.
