Hi all I have a quick question about AUD. I’m currently in the review phase and already got through my MCQ and Sims. I still have about 2 weeks left, and I plan to hit all MCQ again on the last week. I’m currently memorizing the Becker nemonics someone posted and starting to question if it’s worth even memorizing these? It’s a lot to memorize. So

TL;DR Is it worth memorizing stuff like Nemonics and Reports word for word for the AUD exam or is just having an understanding good enough? Let me know your thoughts ninjas.

I thought memory aids were helpful, but if you can remember it without those then don't worry about them. They won't be asking you a question on the memory aids.

I would say knowing the reports is a better use of your time.

Yeah I think I'll just do the proficiency questions. It seems like every time I've memorized memory aids in the past I never used them anyway.

I just base everything off the multiple choice. I use that as my tool for remember certain things. So, if a question asks about fraud risk factors, I'd write out the 3 fraud risk factors. Memorizing without being able to apply usually doesn't happy in too many situations. Plus you get your brain use to the question style they might ask. A keyword might make a certain light go off in your head based on the style of question asked.
