hi guys! I am retaking AUD on Friday and the first time I took it I got 73…I spent the last couple months doing mostly mcqs out of Ninja AND Wiley, and watched the Ninja videos (I love Bob!) Over the last 2 weeks I’ve been doing practice exams and stuff, too, but haven’t given much attention to Ninja notes. Do any of you think that I should focus on the notes before Friday? I better pass! 2 points…grrrrr…

Hi –

I don't really have any advice on the notes, because I think I only skimmed them for Audit. But I wanted to tell you I used Wiley/Ninja for the re-take of my Audit (74) and I was able to pass second time around just with refreshing myself with the information, watching those videos (Bob's audit's were my favorite), and doing MCQs. I'm not fully sure reading the notes are necessary, but perhaps a cursory look at areas you may not be as strong with. A quick read can't hurt.

thank you for your input! I studied with Wiley the first time and got 73, almost same as you. I already feel like I have a much better grasp on the things I was weak on…I hope there isn't a lot on sampling, ugh! I resist it for some reason. I just took the AICPA practice exam (just the mcq part) and got 5 out of 5, so I think I'll just skim the notes maybe in the morning of my exam (I take it at 12:30). Just for kicks 🙂

can I ask what you got on your retake?

Sure thing; I got a 75. I would have thought I'd done better than the score indicated, as I understood the material more the second run through and felt more confident. But, I also would have told you I knocked it out of the park the first time I took it. I was shocked with the 74, but I gladly took the 75. Audit is just weird that way. But you are so close, I am sure you can do it especially if you understand it better with the second run through. It only takes a couple more things falling into place.

I totally agree because my friend who is super smart and always got the highest test scores in class took AUD 4 times. and she's an auditor! She passed with 77 and was a little disappointed because she said that she knew it so well, too. I just have to hope I get a good version of the exam! Congrats by the way!

Thank you! Wow, that story about your friend makes me feel better. You just never know which exam will be your sticking point even with something you know well.
