    Hello!

Im having difficulty understanding how the SIMs are graded for the audit. If say im solving a sim that requires i submit adjusting entries with a box for each of the entries and say i get the DR. correct but the CR. in correct will the whole question be considered wrong or would i get partial credit for getting part of it right?.. keeping in mind each of the entries gets its own box.?

Im resolving SIMs for the financial ratio chapter on Becker and i could swear prior to the last update the grading wasn’t this brutal!? i sincerely hope this is a glitch on my app lol

    Thank you

    MTH

I don't know how the real SIMS are graded, but I would imagine each line is gradable? 🙂

I think each cell gets graded separately but I don't know the definitive answer. Grading is shrouded in mystery as is pretty much everything about this test.

    BEC - 78
    AUD - 75
    REG - 64, 77
    FAR - 73, 73, 73, 82
    Ethics: 74, 84, 98
    Finally done after 23 months.

Scored a 99 on AUD. I can tell you for sure, I didn’t answer everything correctly. Don’t know how they grade the exams exactly but you definitely don’t need to score 100% to get the score I got.

    Two more.

    AUD- 99 (6/8/16)
    REG- TBD
    FAR- TBD
    BEC- TBD

They award partial credit for sure. If you dont know the answer, guess, don't leave it blank. Or fill in a zero. From what I know, they do not award any points for incorrect answers (unlike other tests like the SAT) but let's say you answered half the boxes correctly on a SIM with a lot of boxes to fill in, you'd get about 50% for that SIM. I'm sure some boxes are worth more than others.

    Thank you guys!

Update – i contacted Becker, and they said that when a sim has several columns you need to get the WHOLE column correct otherwise you lose credit (no partial credits). Also, for adjusting entries you'd need to get the whole entry correct so both the amount and the name of the account correct to get full credit if, one of either of them is wrong then you get a zero.

This is new apparently, as per the AICPA

My exam is in 2 days and receiving this news today has me completely devastated! 🙁

    Thank you
