Is anyone else struggling to study for AUD? I passed FAR and REG, the harder ones, but I am just so bored with AUD. IT just all seems to run together. I am finishing up becker content today, so I can use ninja and becker MCQs to essentially learn the material fully over the next 14 days before I take it on January 6th. I lowkey miss FAR and REG, but that is probably bc the chapters didnt seem to all run together in one ugly confusion in my head.
    I accept tips, k thanks.
I passed FAR and REG and made video for anyone struggling with those. https://youtu.be/eX86-CkByuY

AUD so far for me has been a gigantic, worthless word salad. It is a bunch of made up garbage. May we pass it quickly and move onto things that matter.

    AUD - 95
    BEC - 87
    FAR - 84
    REG - 90

I don't entirely agree that AUD is worthless.

The IT material surely is, Likewise I don't see the need to differentiate between inherent and control risks. Just know that the auditor must understand what they are, that he or she cannot control them, but also they're used to further plan the audit (risk assessment).

That said, you have to know the different cycles. It's also good practice to differentiate between $unstantive and control testing, and when to use either or both.

Maybe it's because I'm a former Liberal Arts major, but I see the need to develop/demonstrate you have qualitative analytical skills, not just quantitative.

    AUD - 90
    BEC - 79
    FAR - 77
    REG - 77

I feel the complete opposite so far. I passed FAR and BEC and feel like I took very little of value from BEC and only marginally more from FAR. I will never in my career need to calculate elasticity of demand for example. The material covered in AUD, on the other hand, is something I will use in my career. For example, knowledge of the different cycles and their risks ties together many FAR concepts in a way that I will actually see in practice (since I don't intend to be just a bookkeeper or something like that). I'm actually enjoying the conceptual nature of AUD and being able to study more comfortably, like on the couch or in bed, since I don't need to be at a desk to write out a bunch of calculations. I think REG is gonna be the one that I have trouble staying interested in and motivated for because I hate tax and there are way to many things that can't be “understood” and just have to be memorized like limits, phase outs, etc… FAR had some of that as well but I feel like a lot more of it could be understood than seems the case with REG.

    FAR - 11/05/18 - 92

    BEC - 12/04/18 - 95

    AUD - 2/27/19 - 96

    REG - 4/17/19 - 93

    I’m done!!

I started out hating AUD but now that I've gotten past Roger's 60 – 150 page chapters, I don't mind it. It's definitely a bit frustrating that some of the questions seem to be very subjective, but this is definitely better than FAR.
