Just failed AUD, retake on July 3rd. I got a 73. I can't believe it. Just bought the ninja mult. choice and love it. It looks so much more comprehensive then anything on the market right now.

I'm planning on taking AUD in July! Just took REG and hoping to be ready for AUD on July 1st, but that is probably an overly aggressive plan. I work FT and have 2 young kids. I have started Roger's lectures and I'm taking notes as I go through them. If I end up failing REG (which I unfortunately feel is highly likely) I will probably postpone AUD and give REG another go. Hopefully that isn't the case! In any event, so far AUD is seeming super easy! I worked as an auditor for 3 years and I've been a Senior Accountant for 6. Sounds like there is some overlap with FAR, which after taking for the 3rd time, I feel I have a pretty good grasp on that material. Good luck to all of us!!

    FAR - 7/13 - 72, 11/13- 74, 2/14- 82!!! Best score ever (for me)!!!
BEC - 1/14 - 75!!! Perfect score! First Pass! YAY!!!
    AUD - 8/14 - 80!!!
    REG - 5/14 - 72, 10/14 - 66, 1/15 - 78 - DONE FOREVER!!!
I did 5 of the UNA and CPAExcel classes to earn units.

Hey everyone! It looks like we will are all scheduled for the first week of July! Wishing everyone the best of luck!

Does anyone know when the new changes from AICPA will come into effect? My book came in from CPAExcel a week ago and I have already started studying. However, CPAExcel indicated they will be releasing new book materials in July and there is 15% updates from AICPA for each section. Based on their comments, I assume this shouldn't effect those of us who will be taking the exam at the beginning of July?

    FAR - 89 02/27/14
    REG - 88 04/30/14
    AUD - 90 7/3/14
    BEC - 87 8/30/14 DONE!

    @StephAV

I am planning to take AUD in July too, AND I failed REG couple points short. AUD isn't that bad, I gave myself 2 months, which I though it was too rush. But after studying it for a month, it feels pretty okay. I have another month to do massive MC and stimulation.

I think since you have plenty of audit experience, you should be able to do it in a month? I am not sure if it overlap with FAR, I passed FAR but I feel like they were totally two different subject. Oh, I never had any audit experience (which is probably why).

Anyone know if the NINJA MCQ is good enough? Should I get Wiley too?

I am not sure if the book helped at all. I read the whole Wiley book but didn't understand a thing. I just keep practicing MC questions until I get it (hopefully I do).

I'm actually in this study group as I'm not ready for my Aud test and am taking in July 19th. Just from studying, there is overlap between FAR and AUD, especially with journal entries and ratios.

NIinja is harder than Wiley so far, currently have Ninja, Wiley and using cpareviewforfree

Ninja – 78% average Not main review course, so I've been getting questions on topics I have not reviewed yet.

Wiley – 86% – main review course, so thats probably why score is higher here.

Cpareviewforfree, no average, but i'm getting 85- 95 usually.

    AUD - 99
    BEC - 84
    FAR - 93
    REG - 87
    NYC born and raised.

    FAR - 93
    REG - 87
    BEC - 84!!!!
AUD - 99!!!!!! CPA exam complete.

I just took FAR yesterday. Silly me, I went against Jeff's recommendations and studied for more than 300 hours over 12 weeks. When it came time to hit the MCQs two weeks ago, I was amazed at how much I had forgotten again. Even reading my own notes, I was like, “Did I write this?”.

But fortunately, I think (and hope and pray) that I passed since I nailed the MCQs and only had probs with two sims. The MCQ sessions definitely paid off. Looking for themes and patterns in the questions I missed helped iron things out.

My new study strategy will be to lighten up on my notes, read thru the sections more frequently, rewrite Ninja Notes, and hit the MCQs sooner to help me dig deeper on areas of difficulty.

Finally, getting up at 6am every morning has helped with studying, and the productivity of my day in general since I also squeeze in some yoga stretches. And a few weekend days locked away in my office or a library were productive too.

Here I come AUD, you're next on July 14th! Why do others think AUD is so tuff?

After studying Internal control for the better part of two weeks, this is definitely going to be a challenge!

    FAR 69, 83
    AUD 85
    BEC 80
    REG 82
    FINISHED
