Hey all.. I am getting ready to take the AUD test on Aug 28th. Here is my dilemma :

I have completed all 2177 questions in Wiley.. I have 332 questions that are incorrect, which is an 85%. I have three ideas, but I am unsure which one I should do that would be the most valuable to me. First, do all 332 questions and write each question and the reason why each answer is incorrect. Secound, complete a minor review of all 332 questions and write small concepts that each question is based on. Third, move onto Ninja, so I can start to review a new test bank.

I work full time, so I can get in about 15-20 hours of studying on a good week. Based on the remaining time to study and this being my third try, what should I do? Any advice would be appreciated.

I honestly hate the number 67..... officially the worst number ever. Ugh, but 73 feels so much worse.

    AUD -  67 ; 73 - retake August.

    BEC - 69

    FAR - 63, 67, Retake TBD

    REG -  eventually 🙂

Make sure you understand all concepts behind the questions and know why the correct answer is correct and the incorrect are incorrect. That applies to all questions. And remember that MCQ's are only 50% of your score. Don't ignore the sims. It's crucial to be comfortable using the AL and knowing how to do basic AJE's. Best of luck!

    FAR - 78       8/1/16
    REG - 94      11/15/16
    BEC - 90       1/30/17
    AUD -          7/5/17

Thanks for the advice. I did all the Sims in Wiley as well. Trying to get a bit better with the AL.i wish I had the ability to view all the AL not just what Wiley has access to because of the questions. Any way around This?

If you're taking the test in August, then you have ample time to completely review the Ninja test bank before hopping back into Wiley. I would go through the Ninja MCQ test bank first to expose yourself to some different questions. In my experience, going through the same test bank twice makes me just pick the right answer by habit, rather than focusing on why the other answers are wrong. Perhaps other candidates, including yourself, may be better at controlling themselves as compared to me.

I agree Dman about the SIMS because the new testing format seems to place an emphasis on time management and you want to be sure that you're as comfortable as possible with those SIMS come exam day.

"FACT": The odds of consecutively passing all four sections of the CPA exam on the first try: 7%.

    FAR (April 2017): 75+

    BEC (May 2017): 75+

    AUD (July 2017): 75+

    REG (September 2017): 75+

I have to agree with you. I have about 300 questions that I got wrong, but when I started to go through the questions again, I found myself knowing the question. So, I stopped – like you I don't have the control and like the false hope feeling…….

So, I took into consideration what you both said. I decided to look at the percentages in Wiley and go back to the chapters I am under 75% in. Once this is completed (which will be by mid week) I am going to start on the Ninja questions. Should be done the questions by the beginning of August, which will allow for 3 weeks of hardcore review.

Again, thank you for the advice it is greatly appreciated. it is always nice to get a different perspective on studying.
