    Becker Question –

So this is my first time ever studying for the CPA while still in school. I’m watching the lectures all at once and then I go through MC’s questions(which take forever by the way). So I’m good about the conceptual work but some more of the algebraic problems are hard for me. The book gives me formulas which I know how to do but the MC puts a twist on it that I can’t get so I review the answers so I can see how they did it to learn. For my homework on my first tries I’m around 60% and this makes me really nervous. I feel like I study all day and never learn or get to what I wanted too. I’m a rookie so I’m looking for a little advice and answers to why the MC equations are different from the book, is it normal to hyperventilate all the time, and am I at where I should be?

Sorry if it’s a little confusing, I kind of ranted it out!

This is how I felt for my FAR exam.
I was not convinced that Becker had covered all the material, so I bought Ninja MCQ to supplement. Best decision!
At first I was doing worse, but as I got answers wrong, I read all the links and explanations. I truly believe that Ninja MCQ helped me get my score. I also used the Ninja audio as my commute is long af.

    BEC - 81
    FAR - 86
    REG - 90
Even when winning is illogical, losing still far form optional.

    True!

Ninja MCQ's is really a good supplement for Becker.

    Using both for BEC!

@alloutofkuai do not freak out about BEC Becker MCQs. Yes, they add a twist to all of their problems, so the solution requires more than just memorizing of the formulas, you need to understand the concept. Tackle the problems over and over again until you get them.

The calculations on the actual exam are not as complex as Becker's but if you conquer Becker you will be well prepared for the exam.

When the going gets tough, the tough get going.

    HI there,
    I'm also studying for BEC.
When people supplement NINJA with BECKER, that's a lot of problems! Do you go through all the Becker first and then do ninja?
I'm going through lectures and doing MCQ and writing things down. Just started my third legal pad. Once I am done with Becker i was going to rewrite all my notes and do random Becker sets.
When people supplement with NINJA- how do they use it?
    thanks
    Rachel

Do problems that are not familiar to you. I think people focus to much on the math problems. On exam day you may not have the time to do all the math problems and should probably leave them for last. Math problems are a huge consumer of exam time.

    AUD - 82
    BEC - 89
    FAR - NINJA in Training
    REG - 88
