I would like help, suggestions and ideas for a good exam technique for the written section. Has anyone developed any technique that I can use for my exam? Thanks

Restate the question. Tell them what you are going to tell them. Tell them the points. Then tell them what you told them.
Lots of buzz words. Proper grammar, spelling and letter format.

If you have decent typing skills do not allocate more than 15 minutes per question.
If you are subject to brain freeze, read the question and then dump as many keywords and buzz words onto your paper as soon as your read the question.
Then form something of an outline and work all your buzzwords into where they should be, then hammer it out on the typing.

@skjacks5217 My strategy thus far has been to essentially build a “template” that I am going to use for each WC – this way all I have to do is fill in the proper buzz words, restate the question, etc. Having down the adequate sentence structure will definitely help in regards to being as efficient as possible.

@Recked Impressive scores! I sit for BEC in a few days, any advice how to approach my final review?

You should have already done enough MCQs to know your weak areas.
Keep hammering MCQs on the weak areas, no MCQs the day before your exam. Take the day off to read notes, and review flagged pages in your book.

I will say I think on my BEC that I knew one of the W/Cs. The other 2, I knew about stuff related to the W/C but not directly answering the W/C, but I wrote what I knew.
    Don't overthink the WC.

Just know some details about the key topics that could be tested on the writing portion. Then try to tell a story. Have good grammar and what not. I got a pretty good score with about 2.5 weeks of study. For the BEC, I did not even practice sims. Do your best to practice sims and tons of MCq
