I’m going through the BEC textbook on Becker, and I feel so overwhelmed whenever I see all of these formulas. I have no idea how I will memorize all of these, but BEC is supposed to be the “easy section” so I just feel dumb for not knowing them.
Has anybody else felt this way?

That's normal, as time goes and you keep practicing MCQs and understanding the concepts the formulas will become easier to remember and come naturally by the end, as long as you practice/write/whatever works for you.

By the end I memorized just about every single one and every variant. I'll just say know the important basic ones for sure (the ones that come up most in the MCQ), I don't know what is considered as disclosure so I know I'm being vague. That being said, I've seen posts where people have said you have to know every formula, which wasn't nearly the case for me at all.

I don't know how close your BEC will be to 1 Q '18 but definitely master COSO.

Thanks! I have found that it is a a mixture of different subject areas, so I am finding the parts that make sense and plan to work hard on the rest.

I agree with @SBNY2K17. By the time I took the exam, I was able to handle the common formulas with no problem.

practice makes perfect by the end you will be able to remember 90% of these without even trying! I had flashcards as well and looked at those often. Good luck!
