I passed FAR,AUD,& REG on the first tries with Roger, but I just failed BEC with a 71. I think the MC killed me. The first testlet hit me so hard asking for things I’ve never even heard of before. I think they were the same calculations I had been practicing, but they used weird terms so I had no idea what they were talking about.

It was a shocking experience after the other sections where I felt like Roger had gone over almost everything I saw on exam day. Can anyone recommend another review provider who they felt really prepared them for the calculations? I think I just need a different way of thinking about these.

It really depends on what part of the MCQs you had difficulty with. You mentioned calculations so those won't change much. The Ninja program seems to work well for BEC. I used Gleim and did well. There is a site called “cpareviewforfree”. These are questions that have NOT appeared on the exam, but they WILL provide another perspective on similar questions.

There were also lots of IT questions that were very conceptual. You may not be referring to those, but if those caused any problems the only advice I can offer is to answer those questions while envisioning a large. complex corporation…that seems to be the direction of the IT test questions (I haven't found ANY IT sample questions that mirror what I saw on the test).

The calculations themselves I felt okay with, but on the exam they would present the info and then ask something like “calculate the saturn matrix ratio” and I would be like what the heck is a saturn matrix. I felt like they were calculations that I knew, but just called something totally whack.

I mean it could have been that I didn't know the calculations as well as I thought. Maybe someone prepared would know what to do based on the type of information they gave.
