    Let's CRUSH BEC this Quarter!!

    Let the questions begin

In the Roger CPA book it states that you can use the ARC Method for supply and demand instead of learning all the different equations. Does this apply to everything that has to deal with supply and demand? Such as Income Elasticity of Demand?

This might be a dumb questions but wanted to ask the group for some advice! I'm enrolled with Devry so I'm using Becker since they have a direct relationship with them, I also have access to Rogers CPA Review. I notice that in BEC B2 M6 Becker is discussing Financial Security Valuation Methods including Discounted Cash Flow Analysis, Relative Valuation Models, PEG, PE multiples etc… I cannot find this material anywhere in the Rogers BEC review course… Why would one company spend so much time and efforts going through this material and another company completely disregard it?

I found a short reference on Page 6-8 of Rogers on the Gordon Growth Model but nearly not close to the amount of detail in the Becker lecture

Few of my friends skipped chapter 6 of Becker and still passed with great scores. Perhaps those are not tested as heavily.

I am on chapter 1 now.
    3 objective of COSO are?
    5 component of internal control?
    17 principle are?

I would be willing to bet that the “Gordon growth model” will not receive tremendous attention on the exam

I weenied out on taking the exam on 3/7….I was not ready and was not ready to face another failure…..So I decided to stop stressing over taking the exam before the new exam format and study carefully, cover everything. I feel better about it and WILL be ready April 24th or sooner. a real diligent 5 weeks is what I am aiming for even though I have been studying off and on……So I'm in again. 🙂
Really just encouraging myself, but good luck studying ninja's.

@mooseonloose : I'm not using Becker (cost too much) but I am using ninja mcq's, plus videos, ninja notes and Wiley book. I get stuck trying to figure out which materials to use. I tried doing mcq's only and got frustrated because I do not know the material. So I went back to the book, chapter by chapter. This is a dreadful process but I guess you I can't expect to pass without studying.

I received a 73 with Becker and Ninja questions. I studied 2 weeks with Becker and 2 weeks with Ninja. This time I am putting all my time on Becker and try to really go in depth. I have access to Rogers as well, but I rather stick to one material. It sure it dreadful. I hate studying for BEC. I hope they have mercy on us and give us a curve due to sims and making us wait until August 😉 lol

@Rosy0407 Yes, Becker does have a Ver. 3.0 of their book which matches the 2017 lectures
