I deliberately didn’t solve one question of variance and marginal cost accounting in first teslets. Next testlet was full of cost accounting which is my strong area and I had field day.In third testlet there were hardly 2 questions on cost accounting.I didn’t solve budget and PV calculation question in 2nd testlet and third teslet was full of budgets and PV which were basically algebra.I am not sure if my tricks worked or it was coincidence. I believe based on previous 2 attempts they try to punch in your weak areas.
    I passed with 80.

Reverse psychology on the AICPA. I gotta admit, that is creative thinking. They don't like that. They want you to be predictable and do as your told like a good little corporate, ha ha. That's one trait that I'm great at (thinking outside the box), but unfortunately it's not valued too highly in the field of accounting, unless it's maybe forensics accounting.

    BEC is lame..

nothing in the book seems tremendously difficult – especially when compared with REG and FAR

but I feel very stressed when im not studying.. I feel like im gonna get hit with completely random stuff that I overlooked.

March 10th cant come soon enough.

    @EZ_Sims

I disagree that everything is easy in BEC. Cost accounting is full of random and sometimes complex formulas that takes awhile to master – definitely Not easy. Some of the IT crap is pretty tricky/foreign too. But, I do agree that Econ is stupid easy and some Finance is pretty easy too. Personally, I think the material in FAR was not extremely challenging because I have been performing debits and credits for the past 3-4 damn years in school! But, the Volume of material was absolutely Insane – No Fricking doubt!!!

Also, for any NewBee's Do Not try to Outsmart the AICPA's software by purposely missing questions – not a good idea! But, I do respect the OP for having the Creativity and the BALLS to give it a shot!! Lol. I definitely do not have the Balls to engage in that strategy!

    Goodluck!

@smoothiezguy ,many people are calling it insane but I will take the bet,I may add NFP too.In FAR I am concerned with time left for SIM as it has too wide topics.

Personally I think it may have merit but one example seems anecdotal to me and I'd need to see several more people try this approach and have success with it (which most rightfully may be skittish to try). Its an interesting theory but seems like a lot of other factors come into play (i.e. if you're a superstar in cost I assume you have to be at LEAST average in IT, someone weak in IT may still bomb it.)

I had one IT question in testlet1 and I did answer correctly ,got hardly 1-2 questions on IT in 2 and 3.Economics is my nightmare ,I feel 100% sure this is the answer and turned out to be 100% wrong. In Cost accounting I was sure means 100% sure hence wished more questions.LOL
FAR is having so many topics,33 chapters in Roger's so they can't take even 3 MCQ from each chapter. Many people have got lot of questions from Govt , NFP and IFRS , if that happens to me I would pass.
I am more concerned with time management hence doing calculator practice rather then JE practice.

Disclosure nation in here.. Just a reminder before it draws unwanted attention..

BEC was by far my easiest exam, but I enjoyed my Econ and Mgmt classes more than many of my Accounting courses. I've spoken with so many ‘typical' accountants who have a really hard time with BEC, it's like a foreign language to them. Ironically enough, I thought REG was my hardest section and now I work in Tax..

    B - 88 (2/16)
    A - 84 (4/16)
    R - 73 (6/16), 82(7/16)
