Hi, any tips on writing the written communication portion of BEC?

I always considered myself a strong writer and was pretty confident on this part of the BEC exam back in March 2017. Was extremely surprised when I received the candidate performance report, I received a “weaker” on the written communication. I am totally lost what I have done to warrant the weaker because I had the intro, middle and a conclusion. Finished all 3 WC sections, etc.

I even spoke with someone who said they copy/pasted their first WC and just changed some words around and they received a “comparable.” English is not their first language and it took them 15 minutes to finish copy/pasting the WC while it took me a good 40 minutes to write each one individually.

This makes me think I didn’t include some “buzz words” that the computer program testing the sections picks up. PLEASE, any tips are HIGHLY appreciated.
