Going through Becker BEC mcq, on chapter 3, and I am lost with squeezing in 3 numbers to get to the answer ass backwards. The solutions take three scrolls to see it all. Is the difficulty and length of the MCQ similar to the test? I don’t recall it being so but my last exam was in Feb 2016 and pre-change. TIA

Ana I'm taking BEC in 3 days and I'm just operating on the assumption that they balance the questions based on how long it takes to answer them.

I had the same experience with Becker chapter 3, taking 5 minutes for some of these problems because of how many steps are required, add materials, add WIP, go to ending inv, etc.

Make sure you understand the basic concept and can do the problems, I'm assuming maybe we'll have 1-3 MCQ that require this level of depth. Maybe 2-3 other MCQ that ask the same thing but only have 2 steps in the calculation.

If you're worried about time on the actual exam, I would say flag the problems that seem like they'll take a while and do the rest of the MCQs in that set. Come back to it when you're done with the rest of the set and see how you are on time.

If you KNOW how to do it I would probably recommend yes, take that extra 2 minutes and get that point, because every point counts and you won't know everything.

Yeah I wouldn't worry too much about the actual question and just focus on the concepts involved. Becker has the tendency to pound concepts into the ground with overly complex problems, work your way through them with patience and you should be able to handle anything on the actual exam.

@ana I only used Ninja MCQs for those first two attempts, so I will be incorporating more of my Becker materials into the mix for round 3. Also definitely going to spend more time on IT and seek out different sources to really gain a solid understanding. Other than that, just focus on my weaker areas and ways to manage time better. This new format really crunches your time on the WCs…

How much time do you think you need for WC? I was going to budget about 45 minutes for them.

@ana I think that's what I had on my last attempt, it was enough to get them done but didn't leave me any time to look them over so another 15 minutes would have been optimal.
