it is fine just be able to apply it…….it is alot like Wiley……I think most questions relate……try to test knowledge with other material when in doubt

    wiley 14.0 is cheap…………I did a yeager cram….got a 87 on the IT section

I would say make sure you get Becker's updates online too – I still haven't passed but hopefully Yaeger does the trick.

I think Becker prepared me well enough for the IT section, of course I have an IT background… I'm gearing up to take BEC again for the third time on Oct 3. I've ordered the Yaeger cram to hopefully help me with the Econ and Financial Management parts.

I'll let you know as soon as they give me my darn score!! 🙂 That being said, I didn't think the IT questions on the exam were anything out of left field. Becker seemed to have covered all the right areas.

I felt that Becker covered everything, however, I myself underestimated the topic. The exam had specific definitions that I only glanced over twice maybe. I thought that cost accounting will be much more difficult – and it was all right. I thought IT is a piece of cake, and, yet, I got at least 2 IT questions wrong. We'll see what scores show…

Maybe I was just a little more IT challenged than some of you, but I had to study the becker book, in addition to the addendums in detail. The first time I took BEC I neglected the addendums and ended up with a 69, IT being one of my lowest scores. I took it again 8/31 and this time I was at least familiar with the terms. Moral of the story, at least glance at the addendums on the knowledgebase.

@vishvesh Becker prepared me well enough for the IT material that was testable on the exam. Like another poster said, I would just make sure you're using up-to-date material. Also, if you feel Becker isn't providing the “best” explanation of some of the IT termanology, use Google. Ninja Notes are great for that, too!

I felt BEC was Becker's weakest area…but that likely had a lot to do with it being my weakest area in terms of background and interests. I HATED a large part of BEC and found it tough to push through.

End of the day, I passed.

Do the work, do the MCQ, review.

    Aaron and always remember, YMMV

I profit from your CPE frustration. You're welcome.

I have no idea how I responded to this without seeing it's a thread from 2009. I thought I clicked on it in the front page of the forum topics. Weird! Oh well – good ole 9-years-later-bump!
