Hi everyone,

I have passed BEC and AUD, and I am now taking on the beast known as FAR. I have my exam next Monday and I have several questions for those using Becker.

1- I plan on doing a lot of MCQ’s and review today. I am using Becker’s progress tests for this. I have taken two of them so far and have received scores of 60% and 63% (first one was 25 MCQs, and second was 30 MCQs). Does anyone have any opinion on the difficulty of the testlets in general when doing the progress tests? Would they be more akin to a medium or hard testlet on test day? And in general, are Becker HW questions more towards the hard difficulty?

2- I took the first becker final a few days ago and received a 62% on it. Granted it may be a little understated since in the SIMs I did my JE entries correct, but forgot to mark the unused cells as “blank entries” which cost me some points. Though at the same time mistakes and blunders can happen on test day so I’ll keep the conservative score of 62%. I have read that based on a lot of collected scores, you’ll probably pass if you’re scoring over a 63 on your becker FAR finals.
I know this doesn’t really mean anything, but do you think the score is an alright score for being my first one?

3- How is everyone doing? I’m not going to lie. This is reminding me a bit of studying for the CFA level 1 (which I passed phew). FAR has so much information, and I’m pretty exhausted. I hope everyone is holding up alright. Anyone have the exam next week? What are you doing during the final week? How’s it looking?
