Hi all,

I’m thinking of getting the Becker flashcards to supplement my studies for REG. Do you guys recommend the electronic app or hard copy version of the flashcards?

MY SUGGESTION IS TO PREPARE THE FLASH CARDS BY YOURSELF!I HAD BECKER FLASH CARDS BEFORE WHEN I PREPARED THE CPA EXAM, WHICH IS NOT SO HELPFUL, ESPECIALLY THE LAST REVIEW IN THE FEW DAYS BEFORE THE FINAL TEST DATE.

I agree with Cathy. I had the flashcards for FAR (did not use them for the other 3) and I did not find them useful.

Just like others said, have you considered to prepare those flashcards yourself?

At the beginning of studies, I wished to purchase Becker's flashcards and even bid on them on internet. Decided not to purchase due to high price and ended up making my own cards and very glad that I had to prepare them. You see, when you write your own cards, it becomes a reinforcement. Something written or typed by you goes a long way compared to some cards produced commercially for the learning and memory sake.

I think the flashcards are useful. I purchased the cards for all parts, then for FAR I retyped them on Brainscape. It's a flashcard maker website where you make your own cards to view on your computer or phone. Doing it this way allowed me the benefits of typing out the cards without having to figure out what points or topics to type.

Love the Becker flash card app. Goes section by section, allows you to mark cards as mastered, and see what percentage of a section you've mastered. You could live without it, but it's great to fit in some extra studying while checking your phone, as opposed to checking Facebook.

I never used my flashcards… Just make your own notes. They are probably a ton better than those flashcards…

I really like the Becker flash cards. I have used them for every section so far. I like the hard copies because I like to write notes on them and you can pick out the ones that you don't want to look at anymore. I really utilize them during final review.
