Hi, I was just verbally given a big 4 offer yesterday right after their summer leadership program. Right before the 2 day program, they asked to update your application with your unofficial transcripts. I don’t start for them for another year (fall of 2019). Will do they do a background/credit check and OFFICIAL transcript check now or closer to when I start?

They offered you an internship from a leadership program or a full-time offer? I always thought it went leadership>internship>job offer. If they offered you a job straight from the leadership program, that’s even better though.

B=84 This exam was such a b**** that I thought I failed-don't know how these things work

Congratulations! As far as I know, the firms are usually conducting the background check 90 days before your starting date. All the best.

They should let you know via email or their portal with the background check status. As for the transcript, the HR will ask you to upload it on the portal. This may vary depending on which B4 firm you are with.

Thank you all. John, I'm sorry; I wasn't clear. I got an internship offer after the summer leadership program. They said full time comes after the internship, provided I do okay.

They typically get transcripts on a regular basis (generally every year, sometimes each semester, between your offer, internship and if you accept and stay through full time start date). This is to make sure you stay on track to meet their education requirements (e.g., on track to finish your degree, number of credits, CPA eligible, grades, etc.).
