    Good evening:

I’m assuming that it is harder to get a big 4 position in DC which is a city that everyone wants to go to as compared to a place like Little Rock, Arkansas which not as appealing to young graduates. Does any one know if this is indeed the case? I assume so, but you know what they say about assuming….

It's possible, but there is high demand for accountants in the DC area as opposed to smaller markets, so I would think the chances would be the same.

With that being said, I live in the suburbs of DC and it's not as appealing as some think. Sure, there is plenty to see and do, but the cost of living is about as expensive as Southern California. Making six figures here still puts you in middle class income.
