Bombed BEC Today but at Peace

    I took BEC today and I know I bombed. Being a realist, I’m at peace with this. I started studying with Becker back in January and this was my first exam. I didn’t put in the effort that I should have and I only have myself to blame. I didn’t read all of the sections and I completed less than 50% of the MCQs. I take this as a lesson learned and now I know how to study.

    1. I couldn’t remember any formulas, any.
    2. I ran out of time and only completed 2 WC and they sub par at best.

    On to FAR I go.

    Sorry to hear that. You should really try to complete all the MCQ's if possible. And, I had to write out all my formulas for BEC bc it was overwhelming and I did not like the way the book provided them. These exams are super Tough, so just take it as a lesson learned. Also, I highly recommend that you stick with BEC rather than moving onto FAR just because the BEC material is fresh. But, some people, like myself, knocked out FAR first bc the sheer volume of material and required study time.

    Goodluck and don't give up. These exams put everyone in check at one time or another!!

    there is really no way to “shortcut” these exams. The time you put in will reflect the score you get (for most people at least).

    Do you think it would be a good idea to take BEC again instead of moving on to FAR? You have an idea on what is on the exam now.

    My Becker class started this week so I have no choice but to start studying for it since my employer it paying for it but I won't be taking the exam until the end of May. I didn't have a problem with any of the conceptual questions on the BEC exam it was just the calculations that I didn't study. I will be focusing on FAR until I get my score back.
