Hey, has anyone applied for CA CAP recently? I just sent my last transcript for my ethics class, and I sent my application along with other required documents a few months ago. I am wondering when I will received a letter stating they have received all the documents and asking me for the fee. I called the board, and they told me up to 4 weeks, which seems really long. Can someone has similar experience advice the timeline?

They are notoriously slow, but their timeline is usually correct. There are no faster avenues, go check back in a week.

Thanks for the reply. They need hire more people to process it, way too slow. And we are paying high taxes for it.

HA! NYS is currently running 14-16 weeks.

I already submitted my application, and it already took 2 month to get them tell me which items are missing. Now I probably have to sit another 2 month to get it licensed. So it's pretty similar to your NY processing time, or longer.

I just send my last piece of my document in, which is my ethics class transcript. You timeline is really fast, I mailed my application back in March, it took them forever to cash it.

Hmm…that may be a good deterrent for anyone considering sending in their application well ahead of all other documentation being sent in?

I will keep updating my timeline as things continue to develop.

I sent in early because I want to know how many ethics credit I have to make to meet the requirement, I thought I only need to take one class but wanted to make sure about it, and it ended up I only need to take one class. They took about 2 month to tell me what I need, but they had a huge backlogged work to catch up back then. I will keep updating my timeline once I heard back anything. Also, I called them last week, they told me it took around 4 weeks to file the transcript because they receive huge amount of transcript everyday.
