    Hi guys,

In California, it requires one year work experience, but I get confused when I went through the guide of work experience from the website. I t seems like it also requires audit hours in the one year experience. Can anyone clarify for me? My experiences are more about tax preparations, tax planning and general accounting related.

    Thanks!

No, you don't need attest hours to get a limited CPA license. There is a separate form that is filled out for the attest hours.

    AUD - 64, 80 Passed on 10/09/17

    BEC - 75 Passed on 12/09/17

    FAR - 69, 71, 73, 83 Passed on 06/10/18

    REG - 81 Passed on 09/10/17

There is two type of license in CA. One that is limited and one that let you do attest. I was going to link to faq from calcpa but getting an error when trying to post it.

    Thank you guys!

There are two types of CPA licenses in California. There is no such limitation in NYC which I lived there for years.
