Can we pass by Performing good in MCQ and not doing well Simulations. I think I did good in MCQ , Got 2 Sims right which include Research , rest I think I performed bad. Do you think I have fair chance of passing.

Perhaps… If I'm not mistaken, there's a pretest SIM or two, but depending on the exam SIMS are 50% of your score.

I'm in a similar position and hoping if we did really well on MCQ and not so well on Sims we can stil pass. I earned good points on 3 Sims, earned a couple points 3 others, and maybe a few on the last 2.

I felt like my Sims got substantially harder from the first to the third testlet btw. The first sim testlet was much much easier than the next two (REG).

    Goodluck guys.

On the old test, this was much more likely/common. Now that the weighting has changed, it's much more difficult.

For example, it was extremely difficult, but possible, to pass the exam, while completely skipping the simulations. I think I read, somewhere that this is no longer possible, which indicates the sims have become that much important point-wise.

B=84 This exam was such a b**** that I thought I failed-don't know how these things work
A=76 Slacker I am, I'll happily take it
    R=81 I LOVE taxes
F=80 I don't wanna get banned for an expletive I'm thinking with "yea" proceeding it

I seriously hope we can. I damn near broke down and cried at one point during the REG Sims. But, I just kept pushing through and did the best I could. I seriously wonder if the TBS get harder the better you do. Or, it could just be the luck of the draw. I seriously do not want to have to go back in and take REG again. This is the most demoralizing process I have ever been through.

With all sincerity I hope we all get passes. Goodluck everybody. These new exams are tougher, but we have to push through and not throw in the towel. Easier SAID than DONE!!

Also, I put in 200+ hours for REG. Pretty insane that I am not sure if I passed. Okay, I'll stop complaining and being a crybaby. It's just hard because no one else understands what we are going through besides other candidates.

I tried this in Q1 before the exam changes because I was very strong in the Audit MCQ and I think I flagged just a few questions per testlet BUT I bombed the Sims (except the research question) and ended up with a 73 :|. As long as you do decent on the MCQ and get some points on each SIM you'll probably pass but if you know absolutely nothing on the SIMS like I did then maybe not 🙁 Especially now that the exam is 50/50

@OP in old format someone has claimed to solved 3 SIMs and got 81 in FAR.
Aicpa/NASBA has answered this question for BEC (old format ) ,as extremely difficult.Mind it MCQ was worth 85 in old format.I feel I did very well in MCQ ( BEC ) and didn't write Memo well ,got 72.Next time similar performance and wrote better memo ,got 80.
In new format ,AUD ,one of my friend had done very good in 2 SIMs and partly correct in all other sims ( % ranges from 30-70% for rest of SIM ),he got 87.
I myself did excellent MCQ , 4 SIMs and not so good in next 2 and left 1 blnk ( old format where 60% mCQ)got 79.
My take :I have passed 3 sections ( FAR is baking ) and this was my strategy ,pretending one less SIM I have to do ,that assured no rush during SIMs. Don't try to kill 8 SIMs,try to kill 5-6 SIMs and you would pass.rest 2 SIMs you can do as you would have done in 8 SIMs format. LOL

I honestly doubt it now with this new format. Even on the old AUD exam I got my score report: MCQ = Stronger, SIMS = Weaker. I failed with a 69.

    FAR - 76 (Lost credit), 76
    AUD - 80
    BEC - 76
    REG - 75

I think my mcq were good , 2 Simulation correct , one Bombed , rest partial credit. I don't know whether I have fair chance of passing.
