I have two days left until my AUD exam and I can’t seem to get myself study for another hour. Its SO BORING! I’ve already put in 150 hours. I can’t say i’m 100% ready bc I can’t seem to remember exactly the wording from one audit report to another. It’s like being sick from overeating. I have so much respect for those who fail and had to restudy. its torturous!

I take AUD Friday, and I feel your pain. But I'm pushing through because I don't want to have to retake any of these exams. I am over them already… Keep trucking, almost there.

Glad I'm not the only one who cant take another dosage of AUD. I hope we get the “easy” version this week. I'm just going to do comprehensive multiple choices questions over and over. I thought about reading all the different types of auditors report again but I really can't stomach another look at it.

I had to retake AUD with a 71 in December. I studied around 180 hours plus another 60 hours for the retake – it Sucked. But, I should have passed the 2nd time – waiting until Feb 7th score release. Keep Grinding and remind yourself why u want to pass these exams!!

My re-take is next Friday 1/27. And I feel your pain. I've put in probably around 40-50 hours so far (on top of the 150+ I put in the first time) and hope to put in another 20-30. I'm to the point now where I'm just hammering away at MCQ's between Becker and Ninja, to keep things fresh and mixed up. And the more I do, the more I'm convinced I'll never understand this stuff. It's enough to make me cry.

I've got AUD retake 1/27 and then I'm scheduled to sit for REG on 3/10. All the while in the back of my mind it's eating at me that it doesn't matter how much I study, what study techniques I use, the different types of material, I'm literally never going to pass. Every former classmate and friend that I have that has taken it has passed…so I must be that one person that just can't do it. We all know those people are out there.

    I'm so defeated.

Vee: I am using Becker to. Since you put in 150 hours for your first attempt and scored 68, I'm beginning to question if I am ready to take the exam. The topic is not hard but its purely memorization for the most part which I suck at. Audit is definitely harder for older candidate like me. Were the questions on the actual exam remotely anything close to beckers or it came out of left field?

I hope you pass but if you don't the second time around, I would highly suggest taking FAR before retaking AUD. FAR really provided a strong technical foundation for AUD. Without having take FAR first, I would have a hard time with AUD. I fear AUD not bc I don't understand the material, I'm nervous about having to remember things word for word such as the auditors report. You mentioned you don't think youll ever get AUD so it made me wonder if the lack of FAR knowledge is preventing you from fully understanding what you have read.

Goingallin: I didn't feel like any of the questions were out of left field. My second testlet was definitely harder than my first and that's probably what tripped me up. I walked out feeling good but apparently I didn't do as well as I thought. If I had to guess, I was able to narrow everything down to the best 2 options, and then picked the wrong one. My Sims had a couple of things I did not study well enough. Mainly adjusting entries and Inherent/Control Risk.

Please do not base your preparedness on my previous experience or how I am currently doing. I know there is no way to actually quantify a study on people who aren't able to pass, but more than likely I fall into that category. I passed the easiest one (no idea how, except the writing tasks probably set me over the threshold) and have zero confidence I am capable of passing any others.

I am sure you will do much better than I am capable of! 🙂 Good luck!
