Is there a time commitment attached to the standard $5,000 CPA bonus for passing within the first year of your start date.

For example:’If you don’t work x number of years after receiving the bonus you are required to pay it back.

    Thanks

Usually 1 year or you have to pay it back.

Best to consult with HR, your manager, or your company's online Knowledge Base as all would know and policies can and do change.

Hm weird that the Big 4 gives you your bonus before passing. My company does not give you the $5,000 until you actually pass and we only have a year to pass as well.

Oh I am an idiot haha, sorry I totally misinterpreted this question. I thought you meant they paid you the 5k before you even passed. Please ignore my prior post!

There is no time commitment. EY does 5k if passed during first year, 3k during second year, and 1k during third. If you complete prior to starting you also get the 5k bonus. I also had friends leave during first year who received bonus that did. Or have to pay any back (same rules apply to seniorbonus)

Disclosure note: I am senior at EY Boston and received the 5k during my first year at firm.

Will firms reimburse exam costs and fees if you complete before starting your job? Or is that included in the bonus?

@benj2017 I know some firms do a $3000 reimbursement limit but that includes the study software so I'm really not sure how much is left to reimburse sitting fees. I know they get crazy deals becuase of volume but I'm curious the answer to this myself.
