    Hey everyone

Going through the arduous process of applying for the licence from the state of Alaska before i can go full nerd and put the three letters in front of my name.

Apparently Alaska has different examination requirements to licensing requirements.
I’m an international candidate and a) I’m short on accounting courses by 6 credit hours nad b) i’d need to complete the Ethics course. Theres also an experience part of the requirements but ive got that locked down.

My question is: 1- Since I’m a CFA charterholder, would anyone know if that would be enough for the state board to waive off the 6 credit hour + ethics exam requirements from my application?

2- Any inexpensive and flexible online accounting courses you’d recommend? Im an international candidate just looking to get this done with.

I’m from Alaska and recently in February got certified. They are pretty strict here. You absolutely need ethics course. Not sure about other questions. I would highly suggest to email our board and get your answers. Just FYI the lady who answers questions is NOT very nice. So expect short unhelpful answers but keep asking until you get all information you need to know.

    Good luck
