    Hi everyone,

I’m here in FL and I was supposed to take the REG test tomorrow however due to the weather conditions my exam has been cancelled. Since I have to reschedule for the next window I’m trying to schedule at a date that I don’t have to wait too long for the scores to be released. I saw online that the score release for Q4 is after december 11, which means that if I take it in October I will have to wait two months to get scores. Is this always the case? Has anyone received scores before the schedule dates. Any feedback or info is greatly appreciated. I was hoping to be done with this part

It has only been this year that the score release has been delayed. They are only releasing the scores once a quarter until the end of 2017. I did not receive my Q2 score prior to the date that they set in advance. I believe in 2018 they are going somewhat back to normal with two score releases in February and March. Stay safe!

    AUD - 82
    BEC - 89
    FAR - 81
    REG - 84

Yes it's true, Q4 scores won't be released until December. It will be back to normal in 2018. It's fucked up and causing mayhem, especially for those of us that have jobs/job offers on the line. But nothing we can do.

Thanks everyone. Now that I have additional time to study I'm wondering if Becker could be enough to pass the REG portion or if it will be better to buy a supplemental course or final review. Have you passed REG under the new CPA structure. Any suggestions? Now that I have to wait to take my test in the next window I don't want to waste time and want to increase my chances of passing. With the becker course I was doing tons of progress tests and my scores were on the 90s and the final mock exams I scored 70, and 75%.

Paolita, check and see if they can reschedule you (at no cost) at the very last day of testing this month. I've seen others take the test even after the extended period (due to inclement weather), say at the end of the 3rd week of September. Good luck!

There are other considerations too. Have you already passed any sections? If yes, the clock is ticking on those credits. By waiting until the end of the quarter to take this exam, you are effectively deferring preparation of all other exams until 2018. Does that still give you enough time to adequately prepare and sit for the other exam sections while also giving you the opportunity to retake any sections that fail in an 18 month window?

If you already feel like you're prepared to take the exam, what are the chances you'll stay actively engaged with the material for another two months? An alternative possibility is you get bored with it, or begin to forget material you studied earlier.

    Just food for thought.

    Best of luck.

@Paolita – You can pass REG using only Becker. People generally go with Becker when they don't want to purchase additional material. The only reason you won't pass using Becker is if you don't commit, which can be said for any study program for that matter. I've only used Becker for all 4 exams, passed AUD and FAR on the first try, waiting for REG score (released on 9/19) and taking BEC today. Hoping to pass all on the first try.

Good points to think about. I have not passed any sections of the cpa yet. I took REG before the new changes and I failed. My score reflected stronger at all topics and multiple choice questions but weak on simmulations. I only bought the portion of REG. Did not want to spend more money until I pass the first part. I'm using becker and considering that I failed already once and that new changes were implemented I tried to study like I never did before, not to say that I did not study the first time, but I practiced more simmulations and felt a bit more confident this time. Well after I thought I was ready, my exam was cancelled due to the weather conditions. Now am undecided as to when should I reschedule my exam, and whether I should take this as an opportunity to reinforce more with a final review of becker or any other course. My course is expiring already in november and I dont want to give up but I want to make sure I pass this time. @ drumstick since you passed already few parts did you pass those tests under the new exam structure? any advice
