I took REG for the second time today and am fairly confident I failed. I studied a lot but maybe spent too much time reading the material and not enough time on MCQs/SIMs.

What should I do until score release? Start FAR? Do REG MCQs?

Also, how do you even study for FAR? I will likely be seeing this material for the first time. Start with MCQs or start with reading the material?

Finally….how do I not get more depressed about today? I am extremely depressed and angry with myself. all of that studying to waste.

I’m studying with WILEY online programs and their textbooks.

I agree with Benjamin, take a few days to relax. Hang out with friends and family (or spouse) if you've neglected them like I have.

With that being said, I have never walked out of the testing center feeling confident I passed. I especially thought that there was no way in hell I passed FAR but I scraped by with a 76. You have to have a strong mentality. I would not dwell on REG, move onto FAR and start crushing it. If you are seeing the material for the first time you will need a solid base of the concepts, so you should probably read the text and/or listen to lectures to get a feel, then pound MCQs to solidify the material. Take notes as you go and if you are struggling with a section, do the best you can do for the allotted time you have set for it and move on and return to it during your review stage. I've found that the most important part of the studying process is getting through all the material with periodic MCQ reviews/note reviews with 1-2 weeks left for review. You'd be surprised what you remember during the review stage, and you can use it as a time to solidify strong areas and clean up weak areas.

Also an important note as I have failed so i know what it's like: It's okay to be down for a day or two, but you have to pick yourself up and keep going. Do not look at it as wasted time, look at it as building a foundation for the next time you take the exam. When you are studying for a section you already failed, do not take shortcuts. Go through the process again and try to focus on your weak areas and DO NOT skip over strong areas as you will want to keep them strong. At least do some MCQs on your strong areas to keep the material fresh. Hope this helps.

Good luck we are in this battle with you!

Thank you all so much! It is hard to take a break because I so desperately want to be done with all of this. I'm also so mad at myself for REG. 🙁 🙁 🙁

I'll start FAR in a bit and then tackle REG after the score release.

I am staring to think I am just not cut out for this.

I am in literally the same position as you. I have thought a lot about it and I am just going to move onto FAR. If the exam didn't change then I would have considered just restudying for REG. However, it makes much more sense to put the time in now and get FAR done before June and then come back to REG if you need to.

Just took REG today myself. Thought I did fairly well on the MCQs. Marked about 15 I wasn't sure about though. Did the same for BEC and passed. My testlets were Med > Hard > Hard.

I was really hoping the SIMs would go easy on me but NOPE. Had some ridiculous ones including DRS.

I'm planning on putting in light studying for FAR until score release just to familiarize myself with the topics and questions.

stay strong. REG SIMS are a nightmare. always have been. I took it twice and passed with 75 last year. I would take a few days off from studying and start up with FAR. Then if you actually failed REG you can make a decision on how to move forward.

    AUD - 84
    BEC - 81
    FAR - NINJA in Training
    REG - 75
    AUD - 84

    BEC-  81

    REG-75

    FAR- TBD

SAME BOAT AS OP! I am going to start studying for FAR today. Starting with the NINJA notes and bLITZ videos- then starting to hammer MCQs. FAR is my worse area so I am nervous and hesitant to start but it starts with a single step!!!

    REG: 73, 71, 69

“Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place.
