For most states, no. The state boards like to make the whole process mysterious and convoluted, so you got to email them to confirm everything.

Here in Arkansas, you can sit with 120 hours. You then have 3 years to fulfill the remaining education requirement (150 hours) or I presume you lose credit. YMMV.
