I’m sorry if this is a dumb question, but I can’t figure out who I need to ask or where I need to go to complete the ethics requirement. I heard there’s a book I’m supposed to order – where do I get it?? I’m in MA. any help would be appreciated, thank you so much!

I would call the MA State Board of Accountancy and ask them.

This website says there is none required for MA. I would call the MA state board of accountancy and ask them.

Correct you do not need to complete an ethics exam for initial licensure in MA, only for renewals.

For me, in VT, you have to score above a 90% on the AICPA professional ethics exam. Does anyone recommend spending the $150 for the course, or with having passed the exam should I be knowledgeable enough to pass this thing?

You have to pay to get access to the AICPA PETH exam. I paid $112- there was a membership and student discount.

@Wilson21, You do have to buy the book.. I bought mine through the New Mexico CPA society. You might want to shop around the different societies to see if you can get a better deal at a particular one.

Once you buy the book, or online version you get a code to put in so you can take the test. No code, no test.

I bought the book and found the test was quite easy, pretty much in the order of the chapters and only 4-5 questions did I really have to dig for. The index is quite helpful also.

Some of your CPA studies will help you answer some of the questions, but not enough to pass it without actually going through the book.
