is there any sort of “training” on this? Like a Becker CPA or Gleim type? Or is this simply a self-study booklet we gotta master to pass? Also what kind of process did you do to pass this Ethics exam…I plan to embark on this last part after I finish my educational units requirements (since they actually do expire?). Thanks!

Just passed the ethics exam a few days ago! Took two tries: first try, got an 82 because I was frustrated and wanted to turn it in. Second try, I really took my time and triple checked every answer. What Hasy said is great! I printed out the entire exam and logged out completely! I then opened the PDF of the exam and Ctrl + F'ed every question I could find. Search for key words and you should be able to find the answer. They do NOT tell you what you got wrong when you fail. They generate another test for you instead. I actually think the tests get easier (at least my second test was a LOT easier), because even if you fail three times, they will give you extra tries. I do not think they want to try and discourage people from not becoming CPA's by making a ridiculously difficult ethics exam… Just take your time and triple check your answers before.

But, do not even worry about this easy breezy test until you're done with the main exam!!!

    AUD: 77 (4/21/15),
    BEC: 74 (8/25/15), 79 (1/12/16),
    FAR: 65 (2/27/15), 73 (7/27/15), 72 (11/16/15), 73 (7/13/16), 75 (10/14/16)
    REG: 57 (5/17/16), 74 (8/16/16), 77 (10/21/16)

Completed 4 exams in 11 tries within 18 months.

    CA PETH: 82 (10/17), 92 (11/17)

I have just passed the CA ethics exam today, my score is 98%, I'm super excited.
This is my second attempt. In my first I got 88%
Some of my experience I would like to share:
    1) the exam is hard, but keep in mind you can take your time, there is no time limit
    2) look for key words in the question or the choices. And locate the similar/exact match in the study material.
    3) write the key word, the page where you find the answer in a word doc, mark the ones you are unsure about
    4) after finishing the entire exam, take a break
    5) go over the exam again (VERY IMPORTANT), referring to your word doc. make sure you don't make silly mistakes. And you will find mistakes!!!

    Really take your time!

    Hope that's helpful!
