I thought it was normally curved ? What makes Q1 so special ? Is it more curved?

I also thought it was always curved or normalized? Why else would it always take weeks to get a score back (other than essays on marginal BEC scores?

Good luck. I got 2 74's in a row. Beyond frustrated with this BEC exam. I will retake in Early July. I hear this window the BEC has a TON of IT questions.

It is never curved, or at least that's the AICPA's formal stand. that's why it's such big news.

I suspiciously have a feeling that the new exam is going to be so much harder/shock that the passing rates would fall below 45% across the tests so they are curving the results back up to the 45-50% pass rate.

I highly doubt pass rates for the August score release will be higher than 55% on any section.

Took BEC today, I like it better with the SIMS, less IT MCQs to completely guess on. I'm going to need that curve for those MCQs.

I agree. With MCQ it is either full credit or zero, but with sims may get partial credits? I hope there will be a curve. I guess we would have to wait til August to find out! That's so cruel!!

I also have never heard of it being curved…having taken REG on May 23rd (and being sick of REG)…I hesitate to reasonably consider how legit this curve may even be…whether it will even happen…and how much it could help.
