Just took Aud and Bec in the last two quarters and passed them both. Took audit more recently. Should I take reg or far next? Which section intertwines with audit more because that it the one I took most recently. Also, I start work soon in tax for the big 4 so does that mean reg would come easier to me since I’ll be covering some topics from work?

    Any help would be appreciated.

I would go with FAR. I would say AUD and FAR overlap more than AUD and REG. I can't honestly think of really any overlap between AUD and REG.

    AUD - 92
    BEC - 84
    FAR - 77
    REG - 89

Congrats on your passes! I just passed FAR and have started Audit, and they are definitely intertwined. Just based on that I'd suggest taking FAR next.
Do you already have experience in tax? If so, I'd save Reg for last as the easiest. I am planning to take it after tax season (my first), but also keeping in mind the new tax legislation. I think it's not tested until 6 months after enactment, so I'm going to wait till then, or whenever my course material updates, so I don't waste time studying current laws. Just my two cents 🙂

    FAR - 85 (12/17)
    AUD - 80 (1/18)
    REG - 83 (6/18)
    BEC - 85 (7/18)

    Ethics - 95

Do FAR before REG. When are you trying to take your next exam? Busy season is on the horizon and trust me, studying into busy season is a nightmare. I know because I did it.

Another vote for FAR. REG has some concepts from FAR that will help. The only concrete order I've heard is take what you think will be the most challenging for you first and that it is preferable to take FAR before AUD just because AUD can have FAR concepts tested in the sims. But you've already passed AUD so that points not relevant. 🙂

    AUD - 85
    BEC - 86
    FAR - 83
    REG - 84

Thanks for all the feedback! I am trying to take FAR( guess I'm taking this one now) by the end of the first cycle. Starting work in January so lets see how that goes.

@shivp45 I would take FAR next. a.) because it would go hand-in-hand with AUD more than REG would, and b.) it generally covers more material than REG. For me, FAR and REG were the most intense, so it probably doesn't matter too much which you take first, but – if pressed – I say FAR.

    AUD - 77
    BEC - 75
    FAR - 78
    REG - 77

I'd agree about FAR. Doing FAR as your last one is not a good idea. It should be first or second, but since you already have two passes, you're in better shape than most at this point.

In your case I would go with REG since you will have two chances to pass before they change it in July for the 2018 updates.

Under normal circumstances I would go for FAR first so you have multiple attempts before your other parts expire but your case is special.

    B - 76 A - 76 R - 84 F - 75. Passed by the skin of my teeth!
