    Hello guys,

I took FAR on 12/8/17…definitely knew I didn’t do so well on the exam while taking it. Turns out to be true…and failed. After my internship, I’ve requested time off to study for the FAR exam b/c I knew it wasn’t my strong skills…should I completely stop studying for BEC (about 1/3rd way thru) and solely focus on FAR retake come 1st week of Jan? or should I continue with BEC and still try to squeeze FAR studying in?

Honestly, I would have no idea what to tell my employer if I don’t pass anything before coming into work.

    HELP….from one sad newbie

Bail on BEC, go back to FAR while its somewhat still fresh in your head.
Hammer the MCQ's. You don't want FAR hanging over you, get it out of the way first.

I used Ninja and Wiley. Wiley was my main study material and Ninja would be used to reinforce and review. So Every week I made sure I answered a few Ninja questions on topics I had already studied in Wiley

@Nereida I'm using Becker, plus I have wiley and Ninja Scout (I think, its the lowest one)…I don't use wiley because I dont like the format of it…

As for my retake plan…I'm reviewing 2 sections of FAR everyday from my condensed notes that I took of the entire book, MCQs (99 questions + 8 simulations per section)

My goal is just to PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE…I honestly don't think going back and watching the lectures or doing the skilled based tasks is going to add anything to my studying.

After you go through whatever review program you're using, just hammer ninja mcq. There's no way you won't pass. Then a day or 2 before the exam do 10-15 sims. This strategy works my son.

I just found I not only failed my 2nd attempt on FAR but my score dropped by 9 points from my 1st attempt. Talk about being discouraged. My 2nd attempt studying period was heavily distracted with life issues.
I am using BECKER which I think is a good study tool. But, considering using NINJA as a supplement. What is everyone's opinion?

For FAR supplement it with Ninja Plus , Bob is best

I passed on my first try and I think the best thing I could have done was use the cpareviewforfree website. Take the quizzes and restudy any area you get below a 75 on. My trending score for ninja was a 69. I took 5 practice exams

Studying for the CPA exam is easy. Its like riding a bike. Except the bike is on fire. And the ground is on fire. And everything is on fire. Because you're in H-E Double hockey sticks
