Guys, I feel so defeated by BEC!!! It’s an obstacle that I cannot pass!!! I passed all other 3 parts, but in my opinion, BEC is so much harder than the rest!! I had taken BEC 4 times. from 65, to 69, to 74, and then down to 71. Yeah from the old version to the new version BEC…It caused my REG expired….I use Becker and Ninja notes for all parts. Can you guys plz plz give me some advise on how to study BEC?? What other study material should I use??? everyone is saying BEC is the easiest TT, to me, so not true….I think I might throw up reading the material the fifth time…

BEC after the exam change is definitely not an easy exam. I also used Becker and found their prep almost useless for chapters like IT and Economics. However, their cost and corporate governance is quite accurate.

I recommend focusing in heavily on COSO, SOX, IT and Economics and making sure you are understanding them my Q4 exam and several others on here had a lot of IT and COSO. Cost accounting is definitely important as well, but my exam didn't have a lot of it. When you study, start over and do not just re-review. Act as though its the first time you are taking the exam. Lastly, I liked Gleim's mega test bank for BEC. The questions are hard, but you get the hang of it and the exam questions often seem much easier in comparison. But I understand it is an extra expense.

I've heard Wiley is great for COSO and IT. I know someone on here last quarter used their free two-week trial the weeks before his exam (he also had Becker) and hit the IT on there. Maybe that would help boost that area some where Becker might lack. I used strictly Ninja test bank last quarter and walked in the test knowing I had some weak areas, and that's what killed me that time. This time, I'm going back through the Wiley book and will hit the test banks again soon. Good luck!

what are your areas of weakness per NASBA? hit those areas hard.

BEC is brutal now. I've only sat once but got a 74 :(. Apparently I was weak on the written responses (I knew those WCs would be the end of me). I heard there's a great template floating around on here for the BEC WCs. Does anyone have the link? I WILL pass this horrible test.
