    Hey FAR Fam,

So I failed FAR for the second time with a 61. I have been encouraged to try again around the third week in February. Not rewatching the lectures, as I don’t have time. I have found that I get bogged down in MCQs as 30 questions can take me an hour if I read why I got them wrong. Any tips on what to do? I just purchased the basic NINJA plan, and am rewriting and reading the notes packet. Is there a way to turn off question feedback in Ninja and then review at the end? I also have Roger materials, which I plan on using his questions also.

I just have six weeks to try for the third time, and I want to make the most of it! Specifically want to see as many questions and start really getting through them and the SIMS.

    Thanks!!!

I stick with 10 question MCQ quizes in Roger so I can review and read the explanations while the question is still fresh in my mind.
I also used Gleim's TB set to show answers immediately, I believe they call it a study session.
Doing 30 question testlets without seeing the answers is not really going to help you learn, other than time management.
I was able to do 10 questions and review in about 15 minutes on average, depending on how complicated the computations were, some sections were taking me 20 minutes to do 10 MCQs and review answers.

    Great name by the way.

How much time are you spending per week? The point of hammering mcqs is to learn when you make mistakes and to reinforce why you got them wrong. If you keep doing it, eventually you'll be able to answer them quicker and you'll know why you were right.

@Pickle Princess , I agree with @turo9992000 about the MCQs. It's not how fast you can do them as much as it is how best you can learn from them. If you do 30 MCQs per hour and are actually absorbing the explanations and such, I'd say that's pretty fast!

Seeing that you need to go from a 61 to a 75, you'll definitely need to go through all of the material again and hit hard on your weak areas. I don't know if 6 weeks is enough, because it'll depend on your situation (married? kids? long hours at work?). If you have a game plan for studying, with goals at the end of each week (for instance: finish ch.1 and 1/2 of ch. 2 by Saturday night), you should be good. It's hard to say without knowing your context.

Just buckle down, hit your weak areas hard, but don't skim over anything unless it seriously has zero history of being tested.

    You can do it!

Finished.  Praise be to the Almighty!
