Failed my last part by one point now I have to study for two parts by 10/29.

Would appealing work since it is a completely new format? Or did the “statistical validation” ensure that an appeal will not work? I am desperate enough to try.

that is truly devastating. I got 2 74's on BEC back to back. Did not appeal either one. Just bite the bullet and have to re-study.

Someone maybe can confirm but it takes longer to appeal than just to study and retake the exam? And cost more in the end to appeal. Again this is my understanding, but someone may have better insight on this.

What state are you in? I'd say probably not. You can do both parts. Just think you have passed one and really you came within one point of the other. You get the material so you can totally pass both by 10/29.

I failed Aud with 73 and lost Reg credit, I heard historically appealing successfully rate is nearly 0%. If anyone had gone through the appealing process, please post here.

You're probably better off to request an extension to your AUD pass.

@Sunni I wouldn't bother appealing the 74, but I would definitely call your board about extending your AUD credit. I've heard a lot of states are doing that right now because of the extra long waiting period for scores right now.

Agree with others, try to get your AUD credit extended. When you are on the fringe of pass/fail, your exam will be heavily scrutinized for accuracy. Appealing is a waste of time and money.

I have never seen anyone win an appeal. The only one I would potentially appeal is BEC with the writing aspect, but I can't imagine FAR would get overturned.

Just got off the phone with the illinois board of accountancy. They said anyone who passed 3 parts but lost credit in the second quarter while waiting for results have an extension until December.

I only have to pass FAR!

That's so nice for IL. I think for NY, you have to pass all 4 parts first, then you can request for extension with the application form & fee.

Don't appeal. I appealed one awhile back. All they did was take my money and didn't even have the courtesy of sending me a letter back. So no. I say this even though right now I want to appeal my audit score I just received – I would have passed had the actual reference button actually showed up when/where it should have on one of my sims. How can I answer a research question with no reference material?! Absurdity, I tell you. But I refuse to write a check again and not even get a letter back.

AUD - Missed it by a hair due to MCQ. Retake 5/28.

FAR - The death of me. My grave will inevitably say "but I haven't passed FAR yet"
