Yesterday I just found out that I failed again with 69, the prior three grades were 64, 68, 74. I was using Becker, I am thinking about should I change to another revive materials.

I am weak in Performing Further procedures and obtaining evidence, and forming conclusions and reporting.

I am a Chinese, sometimes the wording drags me confused, I have no idea how I should prepare for it. My FAR will be expired on 11/23/2017.

Who else can give me some suggestions, I will really appreciate.

    God, please help me!

I am on same boat. I failed AUD twice and as you are English is not my first language, hence some times it is difficult to understand the question. My biggest weakness was on SIMS and on top of that i saw some sims that i neglected during my study. Hopefully we all get lucky next time. I will definitely have to work harder on sims and practice more MC. But i at least have 7 months to pass both before my FAR expires, hence i am little optimistic. GOOD LUCK.

Audit was by far the worst test for me. I spent a full year trying to pass that damn exam and finally used Ninja MCQ, which I believe is why I passed. I used Becker prior and my access finally expired and that is when I found Ninja MCQ. I also found the audio and Ninja Notes helped a ton. Just keep pushing forward with your head up. You can pass!

I have always wondered how someone as English as second language can even pass AUD. I mean ONE word can make the difference of right or wrong in an MCQ for AUD. I am sure people pass eventually or maybe even the 1st time, but I was born and raised in US and sometimes have to read the question twice.

I have also wondered how people pass REG without any tax experience. The details that you have to remember, the rules, the exceptions to the rules, etc…It happens people pass though without working in Tax.

It also does NOT help if you get FAR like sims on AUD. If you have not taken FAR.

shawn in VA, thanks for your comfort. I think the system is terrible, I don see either AUD is useful to tax person, nor REG to an auditor. I decided to take AUD again by 9/10, dont want to put all eggs in one basket.

    @Madhav
Wish you good luck on your next exam, how is Ninja, is it helpful. The reason I want to change to another material is I am afraid of that I remember the answers instead of understanding.

Thank you. I am going to purchase Ninja too, so you just focused on Ninja, then you passed AUD. After looking at your CPA journey, you encouraged me, never give up, there is a hope.

The only advice I can give is to do MCQ and simulation until you want to quit and then keep going.

Hi Abigail. I'm sorry to hear about your language challenges with AUD. I can't imagine how difficult the CPA Exam is with English being your second language. Good job in passing bec far and reg. I just passed my last section, FAR (74, 73, 79)on my third attempt. Luckily, I passed bec (76), reg (77), and aud (80) in that order on my first attempt.

Here's my study experience for aud for what it's worth. I studied using Ninja notes, audio, and mcq. If you're on a budget and you have to be selective with what you need for your review, then for sure just get the mcq. I personally found the notes and audio very helpful for my studying. The notes and audio were complementary to the mcq to solidify my understanding of the concepts. At the time (from August 20 – October 5, exam day), ninja mcq was limited in its capability for simulations practice. I'm not sure if the software changed to incorporate DRS practice. Hopefully, it has to better prepare candidates for the new simulations (Document Review Simulations and enhanced simulations). Otherwise, the mcq may be lacking in the simulations preparation. For what you get for the mcq, it's certainly a major part of the studying and preparation for aud.

Best of luck to you and I know you can pass aud. Keep your head up and don't give up. You've come so far and you are almost there.

I have a friend who also failed AUD 4 times. She had 2 weeks before her 18 month window expired. She was using Becker – she works in public accounting.

I have to pay for my CPA material by myself so I used Roger. She used Roger for AUD and passed with a 91! Maybe just buy Roger's AUD course?

I also used Roger and I passed AUD the 1st time. Although it seems Roger is stronger for AUD and Becker is stronger for FAR. Failed that one in epic fashion my 1st time.

Good luck – don't let “THEM” win and give up hope. 🙂

@Abigail , As you have bought Ninja MCQ , that's good.Just do one more thing , see the reference section at the bottom of the answer and just read that reference briefly ( may be google ).You can note down that reference and read latter too.English language is not the issue for failing AUD as you can see people who are raised is America do fail in AUD as AUD is not English it has it's own language and you need to understand it's dictionary. As you have Becker ,Ninja can't substitute Becker's.AUD is one subject where you strictly read the chapters in sequence and try to understand the whole process.
When you you are in Chapter 2 ,you should be very clear what you achieved in chapter 1.
Pay special attention to “test of control differs from a substantive test is very important “.
Similarly understand the finer points between Attestation and Review.
Also Internal control. In old Becker's book , chapter 4 was the crux.Read that chapter (very boring chapter ) ,I don't know how it is organized in new book.
    Remember the sequence of chapter.
since you got 74 that means you know the stuff overall. To boost 10 marks you need to read Standards. Please read ARC-80 and ARC-120.It's very boring documents and even people with first language as English will feel they are chewing raw eggs type yek but still read it.
Most important :You continue your study with Becker's or whatever you are doing and add Ninja etc on top of that otherwise next time you will add 10 marks and lose 10 marks and net result would be same.

I just passed AUD this time with flying color, I am not audit person for sure, even this was my fifth time to try, I only got 78, but I am done.

For my prior 4 times, I used Becker, but found out that I remember the questions and it could not help me anymore, for the fifth time, I used Nanja then I passed.

I encourage you to change another affordable review material, hanging there you will be CPA soon.

    God, please help me!
