I took REG in October 2016 and again in July 2017 and failed it both times with the same exact score of 65. All studying strategies would be greatly appreciated and completely considered as part of my next round of studying for this very important and intensive section.

Maybe u need to choose the right software for u to study from?
Focus on ur weak areas, take ur notes, practice more mcqs and sims&
And supplement it with some ninja materials.
Good luck man, u can do it 🙂

If it's your 2nd time, I would assume that you had already covered all chapters of REG.
Just go for MQs and study what you got wrong.
I did 50~70 MQs and 1 sim per day for 30 days and just studied what I got wrong and occasionally checked my notes and textbooks.
If you have more time than me go for 70~80 MQs and 2~3 sims per day.

Thanks for the advice – i'm losing my mind b/c i swore I knew this stuff. I guess i'll have to ramp up my study sessions – the more i study the more i seem to be remembering the questions instead of the concepts.

    Your scores are legit terrible.

You are NOT studying that much, guaranteed.

Becker gives you everything needed to pass these exams.

You are NOT trying hard enough, if trying at all.

Sorry but you need a dose of reality and a slap in the face. 🙂

    Now I never said quit.

    Listen to me please:

The CPA test is NOT an IQ test. It is a test of DISCIPLINE.

Unless you are extremely gifted in the brains department (I'm not) it takes SACRIFICE to pass these tests.

@Kewl Dewd – don't go chapter by chapter when solving MCQs. I had all my MCQs in PDF file and I made an excel that generated random page # from 1 to 1300ish and just solved 50~70 MCQs per day.

Yea you either didn't study or didn't do it right.

So tell us what you did, how long were you studying for each test, how many hours, what were you doing to study?

Were you only listening to audio files? Were your inconsistent with the time you put in each day?

There are a lot of people on here who have gone from failing to passing and if you got a 65 in reg twice you can go up ten points.

So write out everything you did to study for reg (and be specific with dates/times/hours) and we'll all see what advice we have for you to get it right.
