So I took Reg in Q1 2017, did not get a passing score. I am using Becker as my main study material and supplemented with Ninja final review.

What do you all recommend doing to approach retaking this exam with all the changes? I would hate to start from scratch rewatching all of the Becker lectures and redoing it all… but also do not want to miss anything important to prepare for these changes.

So, what are you planning to do if you are in the same situation?

I'm curious about this as well… just found out I have to take REG a third time. I know the content specifications are changing the percentages each area is tested, so I'm nervous using the same material will guide me in the wrong direction this time.

@lhenly94 Can you describe to me how you studied and how ready you felt before the exam?

I was originally planning on trying to take REG by March 10th, but just recently decided it would be better for me to just suck it up and sit in April rather than stressing myself trying to be ready this quarter.

I'm using the Gleim premium review. I made it through 3 of the 20 study units already, but Gleim just totally redid their whole website and I'm getting new printed materials for the new exam as well. So, i just decided I would start from scratch and move through the stuff I've already studied quickly so I can take full advantage of all the new features. Plus, that way I don't risk missing anything new on the April exam.

Not exactly the same situation, but similar. If I were you, I wouldn't want to risk missing new information so I would just start all over. Plus, it wouldn't hurt going over everything again. I know it's not fun, but it's definitely the safest route.

I'm studying for Reg on March 9 and will be grinding multiple choice until I've hit review phase on Ninja. It has been working out for me so far and hoping it will work out again.

Watched all reg lectures on Becker and did the corresponding homeworm, did some simulations but not all(done this on previous exams as well and still passed – I don't find them particularly useful as long as I nail the MC). I spent about 2 weeks reviewing which included re-reading each chapter in main book and the final review book and doing progress test for that chapter – usually about 100 problems…..Did both practice tests. Did not do well on them (~50s on each) but continued to study the subjects that I wasn't doing well on. I also tried to cram in the ninja final review in the last 3 days before the exam, I think my time would have been better spent doing more MC and re-reading the material.
