I have never thought that painful 74 will happen to me. I have seen many posts saying how painful 74 will be. As the second attempt for REG with one week study, I failed it with 74. It means I force to retake it after couple months. I rather failed it with 50+, not 74😭😭😭😭😭I wanna cry but no tears!! I think I need to isolate from others in order to regain energy for continuing my study.

Look at my scores, join the club. I would have been done by now had I passed.

    FAR - 10/28/16
    BEC - 11/2016

I had BEC and AUD done. Last year with the delayed releases I got my FAR and REG scores on the same day. I could have been done that day. I got a 74 on both exams ON THE SAME DAY. Regroup and attack the exam hard. Get mad and get after it. You are so close. Don't give up.

    AUD - 71, 79
    BEC - 69, 74, 75
    FAR - 71, 74, 80
    REG - 74, 78

    FAR - 10/3/16
    BEC - 69 - 10/31/16
    AUD - November 2016
    REG - December 2016

I failed REG twice this year with scores in the 60s with Roger, I switched to Becker and experienced an 18-point score increase in July and passed easily. I only did 13% of the Becker REG program, I did not do any MCQs at home, I did not do any Simulations at home, and I skipped Chapters 6, 7, and 8 of Becker. The main 4 things I concentrated on with Becker were (1) Individual Loss deductions and the sequences (TAPE), (2) Like-Kind Exchanges and the huge difference between Recognized and Realized – I made a huge flowchart with different colors for Like-Kind Exchanges, (3) Gift and Inheritance basis, (4) and the entire grid of Basis/Tax values for contributions and distributions relating to Corporations and Partnerships. Those 4 items were all contained in Chapters 1 through 5 of Becker, Becker did a far better job stressing and explaining those concepts than Roger did. I used Roger for Business Law and Ethics, the Roger book was much better for Roger Chapters 10 through 21. I was able to pass 3 of the 4 exams (BEC, AUD, and REG) without doing any MCQs at home, the way I feel is if the instructor and book are doing a good enough job of explaining a concept to the student, that is enough, you don't need to keep questioning yourself 500 times.

    BEC- passed 16 months ago

    AUD- passed 12 months ago

    FAR- passed 3 months ago

    REG- 69 , 63, 81

Thank you dear for sharing your experiences. Looking at your score at your signature with 3 times 74 at three exams do encourage me.

Thank you for sharing your experience and your study method. I use Becker to study as well. Next time, I will rather to read textbook carefully and do more practise on SIM.
