I’m taking FAR on 9/10 and I’m using Roger + Ninja MCQ & Notes. For those of you that have passed FAR in Q2 or taken FAR in Q3 what are the most important topics to study in the last week before the test. Also for the SIMS is there any specific area where you should focus more on? It seems like SIMS are very difficult and time is a concern for FAR. Is Roger + Ninja enough to pass FAR the first time?

Honestly, I finished FAR with an hour left. Doesnt mean I passed it. The SIMS werent overwhelmingly hard. If you know the material, they are pretty quick. If you are unsure, use all of the additional tools provided to you for the SIMs. I used Wiley and felt that it did a great job preparing me for FAR (MUCH better than AUD). I highly advise being comfortable with Govt and NFP accounting. There were a lot of easy points for me just because I had a good basic understanding of Government accounting. That being said, you will see just about every topic once in some form. I didnt focus on derivatives or partnership accounting and it didnt really hurt me, but every test is different

Thank you for the insight on Govt and NFP. I use WileyCPAExcel, and I was very surprised that topic was so heavily included in the practice exams. I didn't study that too much so I better go back and review. I am scheduled to sit for the FAR exam on Sunday too, but I have a hurricane headed directly towards me so I'm not too sure what's going to happen yet.
