I went through the AICPA practice exam pretty quickly just to get a feel for it. I’m assuming it is easier difficulty wise than the actual exam? I had not done the DRS yet and had some difficulty with that but I think it was mainly because I was rushing. The MCQ were all super easy IMO and the SIMS were not bad in comparison to what I have heard of the actual exam. Can anyone who has taken the actual exam and AICPA practice exam confirm if the practice exam is much easier than the actual exam?

    FAR : 90

    AUD : 86

    REG : 85

    BEC : Mar 2018

Yes, the sample test is a bit easier, but it does give you a good idea of what the SIMS might look like, especially the DRS one… I would definitely spend time going through these!

I actually got 2 of the same MCQ questions on my actual exam for BEC. The SIMS I got for REG were actually pretty similar, but the SIMS on the practice for FAR and AUD were way easier than my actual exam.

I have done all 4 of the practice exams, and I would say you will definitely see some easy MCQ just like on the pracice exam, but you will also get more difficult questions. I would say the ones on the practice exams I took would be found on a “medium” difficulty testlet.

Just like the previous poster said, I think the practice exam is more just to get a good feel of how the SIMS will be laid out. Good Luck!

    AUD - 92
    BEC - 84
    FAR - 77
    REG - 89

@tygolfer-I had the exact same SIM from AUD sample test, naturally, the only one I didn't look up the answer to! 🙂 LOL
