I JUST FEEL SO OVERWHELMED with how much you gotta know lol. I feel like nothing is sinking in as I read along. I’m probably just over worried as I have only started to study for FAR this past monday. I want to take the exam around July 8th. I’ve been listening to the audio and reading the notes along with it so far and plan to finish that up tomorrow.

I plan on reading the book after. (I wanted to do notes/audio first to get a small foundation)

Then just non-stop mcq for weeks on end.

    ANY TIPS OR RECOMMENDATIONS?!??!

    FAR - 76

    AUD - 89

    BEC - 84

    REG - 86

One step at a time. Try to understand the subject instead of memorizing. It will be much easier. I didn't think I could understand debits/credits but I did. I always used audio after learning a chapter to reinforce the concepts and minute details.

I always did a set of MCQs for each chapter and did it cumulatively as I finished more chapters. I'm not saying you will encounter issues, but prepare for them. I know the first set of mcqs I did, maybe the first 500, were like total crap. Maybe trending in the 50-60s. Don't get discouraged. It's a learning curve.

I always made it a point to listen to audio during my commutes. I think I literally took note on EVERY MCQ I got wrong or even right, sometimes. If there was a fact or a piece of information I found interesting, I wrote it down. Always remember though, QUALITY over quantity. You can do 180 mcqs but not being to retain the reasoning why each of them is right or wrong, then that session was useless.

    Yeah, don't despair.

Stay on track. If you've spent an entire week going over something and it's still not clicking, you've spent too much time on it. Come back to it a couple weeks later, you'll surprise yourself how much you remembered. The flow charts Becker used to explain goodwill, non-monetary transactions lacking commercial substance, etc really helped me. The mnemonics were also very helpful. Don't ignore Gov. It was half of my exam.
