    Walked into FAR feeling cautiously optimistic. The first testlet wasn’t bad, I’d say I flagged maybe 3-4. The second testlet was harder and I’d say I flagged 7-8. I still feel like I did pretty well altogether on the M/C. I’ve taken a form of the CPA exam now 8 times and I feel best about these MCQ I saw today. Having said that, there was a good bit of a certain topic that is only 5-15% of the test. Those questions were and will always be a challenge for me.

    Then the sims came…the first testlet wasn’t bad, just information overload. I still think I managed to get through both pretty unscathed. The second testlet…not so much. I got the research pretty quickly but the other 2 were tough sledding. One of the 2 was a NFP sim so I’m hopeful that was pre-test. Sim testlet 3 wasn’t bad, and I feel like I probably got around 80%, if not more.

    Overall, I’m not sure how to feel about it. I felt ok with the exception of the second SIM testlet. I also could have done been way off base on some of the MCQ I suppose.

    We will find out in 10 days or so. Good luck to everyone sitting soon.

    Thanks! @Recked I'm an EA, and I know you are as well. Hoping to be done so I can have the dual-threat. Hope we're both done.

    @Fratty Redneck. Did you use becker for your study material and if so did the MCQ and SIMS in becker prepare you well enough?

    @Sonny yes, I used Becker for sims review and NINJA MCQ. There's a thread somewhere aligning the sims in Becker with the FAR blueprint. I used that for my practice and it did prepare me pretty well for a few that I saw today. A couple were completely out of right field, though.

    More JE in MCQ ? Common sense type or you need to remember like Govt JE which you have to memorize because they debit estimated revenue LOL then estimated revenue control will reversed BAE BAE .
    Most who reported here got straight SIMs , it seems they changed new sets of questions now .

    Did you practice all the sims in becker. I am using becker as well but I wont have time to do any sims. Whether just being thorough with the material work for FAR, it worked well for me for the remaining 3 sections but I read a lot that FAR sims are out of the left field and you need to practice sims for the same. Any advice?

    I would recommend not neglecting Sims. They can also help get a deeper understanding (which is needed for SIMs IMO) of the material that may not have clicked doing MCQ.

    I neglected SIMs my first go round and I think it cost me.

    @Tiderfl
    I also neglected studying sims. I hope I pass because then I lose my AuD credit and I would have to retake 2 exams before my next expiration at 6/6/18.

    I can't seem to get pensions down but I only have a week left should I spend more time on it? was it heavy on the exam?
