    Hi everyone,

I hope everybody is doing well with the exams. Here is my situation. I’m taking FAR in 10 days. Almost finished studying Becker materials. I’m pretty confident about all topics but what areas are heavily tested during actual exams in Q4? I would be glad to read about actual exam experiences. Honestly, FAR has quite large amount of information and better focus recommendations would be perfect.

    Thanks beforehand!

the thing with these tests is, the large amount of information is part of the reason they're so difficult! Unfortunately it's an act discreditable to the profession to knowingly disclose any CPA exam information (thanks AUD.) If certain material weren't important, it wouldn't be in becker. Granted, some details probably won't be tested on your specific exam, but there's no way to predict with certainty what material you can skip over.
Some tips that I think might help are:
    1. check out the AICPA blueprints. I've never used them but it might help you get a better idea of the material comprehensively, and could help you when you review.
    2. when you review, accumulate more and more chapters as you go. What I do is I start by doing 100 questions from the first five chapters. I review those, then I do them again and I add questions from the next two chapters, review them all again, and so on until I'm through all the material. And I just keep doing that until I feel a little better about the questions.

I took FAR in Q1. Honestly you have to know everything! But a lot of people have told me too that if theres a section you're stuck on, just move on and come back to it. FAR sucks.

The % they give you are pretty dead on in my experience. I would say in the last ten days to set yourself up well on MCQ the first 33 can set the tone for the rest of the test. Consider that you get harder questions worth more if you do well in the 1st section. So your highest possible score on MCQ with hard questions would be 100% but if you don’t do well on the 1st section your highest might only be a 80% after that it’s an uphill battle. So crush the MCQ!
