I like their MCQ but I don't like their notes, it is not detailed.May 23, 2016 at 6:09 pm #777814
The FAR Notes are 118 pages (some of that is intro material), which is just right for “notes” in my opinion…something easily review-able several times. If you go into too much detail, then it kind of morphs into a book, which defeats the purpose.
That's why we also have the FAR book @ 600+ pages, which is a lot more detailed, but not suffocating.May 23, 2016 at 6:30 pm #777815
I'm using Becker and I was taking my own notes untiI I got a glimpse at Ninja and decided that they were nice to have. They pull to the front all the details..and the devil is in the details. I love the format and can leave my Becker lecture and go right over to the Ninja Notes and still see topics just discussed. Not only does it save me time. Now I don't have to stop my lectures to write down everything single thing and try to categorize them. It's all done for me! Thanks Jeff!!! Love your notes!!! I can spend more time reading/ listening to lectures. I still jot down things and then see them later in the notes.May 23, 2016 at 6:34 pm #777816
I agree with you Jeff, but I really think creating notes by yourself is the best way to remember and learn.May 23, 2016 at 6:35 pm #777817
gamerCPA, I really only use Gleim for the text even though I have the entire Gleim Premium package. The book has everything you need to know for the exams and more. I have passed both FAR and REG on my first attempt with a Gleim and Ninja combination.May 23, 2016 at 6:39 pm #777818
i think FAR notes can add 5 points to your score at least. with that being said it is definitely worth the purchase then.May 23, 2016 at 7:51 pm #777819
I used them as my primary study material and am very happy with them.May 23, 2016 at 7:54 pm #777820
@wombataholic – I have seen several of your very helpful posts regarding uses of NINJA materials. Did you use the NINJA Book at all? I've only seen you mention that you copied the NINJA Notes several times throughout your studies. By your scores, whatever you did sure seems to have worked! Thanks in advance!May 23, 2016 at 7:59 pm #777821
@wombat – did you just copy them?
